Therapy after Trauma

your time to heal and hope again

Therapy after trauma gives you a safe space to process what happened to you. Blocking or ignoring your memories is a temporary strategy that takes a lot of effort and energy. This is your time to heal without shame or judgment.

I meet my clients where they are in this journey. Our time together is spent working with evidence-based approaches that have helped many others achieve their goals and live their values.

What is therapy like?

In trauma therapy we will work as a team. We will walk side by side as you move from your trauma towards your goals. I will be with you every step of the way helping you gain tools to manage your emotions, thoughts, and avoidance of triggers.

Why choose an

evidence-based psychotherapy?

Good therapy is more than talking about what happened to you and having someone listen to you with empathy. In the field of psychology, just like in medicine, the treatments that are developed are assessed for their effectiveness. These effective treatments are not one-size-fits all. We will discuss together which treatment is the best fit for you.

As a trauma therapist, I use the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, Prolonged Exposure (PE), Skills Training in Affective and Interpersonal Regulation (STAIR), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
