Basic tool for your toolbox

… not just any breathing,

Diaphragmatic Breathing

What do we do when “the battery is running low” warning shows on our devices? We plug the device, that is it.

We don’t criticize the device for running low, we don’t hope the warning will go away, we don’t seek alternative explanations. However, many times we try to escape our own “running low” signals, at least I know I do.

So … if you are running “low”, diaphragmatic breathing offers a brief break and an opportunity to recharge. It looks simple but is powerful. I encourage you to practice. After you master this technique, it is the type of tool that you will use forever.

My simple instructions

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Put your hands over you belly. Breath in through the nose making your belly go big. Hold your breath briefly. Let the air go out through your mouth naturally, don’t force it. Repeat slowly and deeply at your own pace. If you get dizzy you are breathing too fast.
